If you do a search for “Thrift Stores” in Google, you will come back with 1,590,000 returns. “Thrifting” will get you 199,000 results. Now granted, all of those are probably not directly related to “thrift shopping” but I think it says a lot about the popularity of thrift shopping in general.

Recently, as I was perusing some of my favorite blogs, I came across an article posted at The Thrift Store Whore pondering why thrift stores seem to get a bad rap as retail outlets of quality used clothing.

“By shopping at a thrift, you can help the environment, save your money, and feel the great satisfaction when you see someone wearing a designer t-shirt and expensive distressed jeans and know you have the same outfit for under five dollars.”

Not only can you find good quality brand name clothing for under 5 dollars but there are also a variety of products that can be found for well under what you would pay at most other stores.

The state of the economy will always change, but thrift stores remain steadfast in offering quality merchandise at  prices affordable to everyone.

Halloween is always a fun time here at Family Thrift Center. We have fantastic sales offering 50% off of all the merchandise in the store which brings in some great crowds looking for that special bargain.
